Very good product, Sunday, 08 October 2006
I like these Eurotalk cds. The one in Arabic is like the others although some of the words and some prononciation are not the same as the (colloquial) arabic I have been taught. Anyway, I would recommand it for adults and children.
This is so great!, Monday, 24 July 2006
I just bought my son 3 dvds of Dora and they are just brilliant! Obviously, my son is a native French speaker so it is easier for him. In the dvds, they do lots of repetitions and the stories are interactive, I can't recommend these dvds enough!!
I could not find Dora in English with a bit of French though, it seems to be only English->spanish or French->english.

This DVD is absolutely brilliant and definitely fun! My son loves it.The songs are very good as well (incy wincy spider, old macdonald). The only thing is that I asked 2 different native arabic speaker and they did not know what dialect is spoken here although it is definitely arabic! The names of the animals are Classical arabic so no problem with that.
There is another one called "colours around us" which works in the same way. I recommend it as well.

I just bought it today as well as the "Puzzle and memory game" cd and really liked it. It is great for learning a few new vocabulary and I can't wait for my son to use it when he is older!
Good channel, Monday, 26 June 2006
This a good channel for babies really. It has simple animations and cartoons. I recommend it for babies/children up to 2 year old.
Nice little place!, Sunday, 25 June 2006
I went there today and bought 5 littles books for my son (and me as well!). They also have games in arabic. This stall is located in the Toddlers zone, on your left before the play areas. There are other stalls with vhs and cds in Fun city.
I agree on good value for money, Monday, 19 June 2006
They have a great selection of arabic books, games and excercise books where you can practise the arabic letters etc. They even have children picture dictionnary in French and arabic. As already said, the quality goes from bad to fine but all in all it is worth it as it is very cheap!

I used the La jolie ronde program with year 2 in the UK. I thought it was a bit hard to teach. The songs are quite good and the pupil's booklet is fine.

They have a very good selection of French books for children as well as adults. It would be nice if they had educational DVDs as well but I did not see any.

I have used Eurotalk for Spanish and they are pretty good. Beginners level is about vocabulary on topics like Food, Animals, colours etc. You can practise your pronunciation and listening comprehension as well. There are also two games about the vocabulary (one of which is a memory game). The intermediate level has got more sentence structures and the advanced one is a little film on DVD with comprehension and written excercises .
