I would like to organise a get together with French or French speaking mums and their children. The main rule is that we will only speak French (adults to adults/ adults to children). I thought we could bring a "quatre heures" for the children (and mums too!). What about Thursday 21st Feb at around 3:30 ? Let me know if you are interested!

I'm interested in bringing my 4 year old son if this falls into the target 'age group'.
Family: French (France) father and myself Chinese. French is our family language. My son will speak French to French peers but only his 'mother's language' to me: Chinese. I can communicate in French, near native, but prefer writing in English  , as it's quicker for me.
Location-wise: I live in Festival City but any meeting point in the 'popular list' like Jumeriah area is ok though not prefer beyond Jumeriah 3, and hope not to be close to any games machines in the meeting point.

I am planning to hold it at Safa 2 park (little park near Kangaroo nursery). You are the only one yet who has confirmed so will let you know if the meeting is going ahead or not.
There is no age group for this meeting. This is just an opportunity to meet French/ French speaking mums and their children and to ONLY speak French during that afternoon.
I really hope we can have this meeting!

Hi Gini,
I think it's great to set that "French only" rule - that's what most people are after so lets go for it!
I don't know if you know, but the date and time you've chosen conflicts with the Dubai Recre group. They have a very active program and meet all over Dubai (different venue each week) at 4pm. You might want to consider that as it could possible impact your numbers.
I normally go to the Dubai recre group, but I'm very interested in your session, as it will be targetted at younger kids.
This week however I have two separate groups of visitors am not 100% sure what will be required of me as tour guide. Visitor willing, I'd love to come Thursday, although I would be late - Sarah doesn't wake up until 3.30 and we live in Mirdif.

Thank you for that, I did not know about Dubai recre timings.
I don't mind moving it to the week after,on a Monday? does it suit people better ?

Gini, that's a great idea. However, we are not free on Sundays or Mondays. Any other day would be fine for us.
Sorry for that. I know it's difficult to find one day that will suit most, but once the day is established, you can then stick to it for future arrangements.
