Your User Profile: Filling and updating it.
As you click on Your Profile in the user menu on the left of the page you see your profile. Click Edit on the top and then Update Your Profile. Your profile has three areas: a) contact info, b) language details and c) newsletters. Having clicked Update Your Profile, you will automatically be in the contact info section. Fill in the details and click Update at the bottom to save your changes. Then go to the next section by clicking the field Language Details on the top of the page next to Contact Details. A new window opens. Fill in your details and click Update again, then do the same for the newsletters. You can change your profile at any time.

User Lists: Contacting other members.
If you want to send an email to another user, just click User Lists in the User Menu and click on the user (by user name) you would like to contact. In the user profile that opens you will find a Messages button on the top. Click it and you can send a message to this person.

The Forum: Posting and replying to messages
If you would like to start a discussion on a certain topic or contribute to ongoing discussions, go to Forum in the main menu on the left. You will have the choice of 4 forums: a) Language Posts, b) Off-topic Posts, c) Teacher Forum and d) Website Questions. To post or contribute in any of them, just click on the forum title. You will find a list of existing threads (discussion topics), by clicking on the one that interests you, you can read other people’s contributions. By clicking Post Reply you can add your own message to that specific thread. If you want to start a new topic/thread, just click on Post New Topic and fill in the window that opens.

Classified Ads: Posting an ad or replying to other people’s ads
To reply to a classified, just click on the little envelope icon in the bottom right corner of that ad. To post your classified ad, just click on Submit Ad on the top of all existing classifieds. In the next window you need to select a category of classified from the drop down menu, then click Next. Select a type of ad from the drop down menu and put in your message, then click Submit. Once the moderator has approved your ad it will be on-line.

Language Resources: Rating and reviewing a resource you have tested.
To give your rating and opinion/comments to a specific language resource you have tested, click on Language Resources in the main menu on the left. Then go to the specific category the resource would be in, e.g. French books. A list of sources for French books will appear. Click on the specific resource you want, e.g. Culture & Co Store. Underneath the text is a button Write your own Opinion or How would you rate this resource? Click on it and type in your comments and ratings, then click Submit Review.

Language Resources: Adding a missing language resource you know about.
If you know about a language resource (in any language) that is apparently missing in our language resource pages, please let us know about it by clicking Submit Resource in the User Menu (just underneath Your Profile). Just fill in the the details and click Submit. Once the moderator has approved your entry it will go on-line.

Comments on Articles: Writing a comment.
If you read an article and feel you would like to contribute your advice, thoughts, ideas and tips, just fill in the comment box underneath each article and click send. Your comments will appear on-line.

Events: Adding a language event that you would like to see published on this site.
Send me an email through the Contact button on the top menu. Don’t forget to send all details (title, event description, time, location etc) I will post the event for you.

Feedback/Contact: Provide feedback on the site or any other input/comment.
To provide feedback, either click on Contact on the top menu and send us a private feedback message or use the Forum “Website Questions” if you want your feedback to be displayed publicly.

Other Questions: Get answers to other questions (either contact or FAQ).
For any other questions you might have, either go to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) in the Info & Advice section and see whether your question is already there. If not, you can submit the question right there and get an answer shortly. You can also post your question in the Forum “Website Questions” if it is related to navigating the website. Last but not least, you can always click on Contact and send me a private message.
