This toy and bookstore on Sheik Zayed Road (close to the old Oasis mall) hosts a wealth of Arabic material, e.g.......
  • A large wall poster to demonstrate the Arabic numbers from 1 to 12 (no English, so the child would have to count the number of objects to figure out the meaning of the symbol)
  • A memory game with pictures and words by a company called "Abjad" 
  • Bilingual books (more like one-page picture dictionary than a book)

I have found a lot of different materials all by the same company "abajad" which all relate to the letters & words software seperately mentioned on this site. The great thing is that my daughter can easily recognize the words and letters as they are written in exactly the same way as on the software. I bought the wiping board to trace the arabic letters, the foam letters, the hard page and the memory game. I hope to make Arabic learning fun and keep my daughters' interest by changing the medium from software to book to writign activity to game. 
I wish more companies (beyond abajad) would provide fun Arabic material.

I found this place to have a selection of Arabic materials. The quality is not great(but not too bad either). However, the prices are very reasonable!
